REMEDIES FOR TELECOM RECOVERY:

ONE YEAR LATER

FIRST ANNUAL UPDATE CONFERENCE

October 29, 2004

Columbia University
Warren Hall
115th Street
& Amsterdam Avenue

New York, NY

[ Agenda ]

In October 2003, CITI concluded its year-long program on Remedies for Telecom Recovery which analysed the root causes of the historic “meltdown” of the telecommunications industry and made recommendations to accelerate the industry’s recovery. On October 29, 2004, CITI will present its first annual update to determine: What is the current health and vitality of the telecom industry?  What is the prognosis for recovery? Which of CITI’s proposed remedies for recovery have been effective? Are new or revised remedies are required?

During the conference, CITI's researchers will present their updated analyses, conclusions and recommendations.  Panels of distinguished experts will then comment on the CITI proposal and add their own thoughts.  For more information, including materials from the 2003 conference and additional details about the October 29, 2004 event, please see the project website at http://www.citi.columbia.edu
