Rosa Morales is the Assistant Director of the
Columbia Institute for Tele-Information. She handles the administrative
and research activities, projects, and conferences undertaken by CITI.
She joined the Institute as a Research Assistant in September 1996. Ms.
Morales is currently managing the production of the forthcoming book
Ownership and Concentration in the US Communications Industry and an
electronic textbook on media management. Ms. Morales' interests lie in
fields of race/ethnicity, gender/sexuality, feminist theory, and human
rights. She received her B.A. from Barnard College in Political Science
and Women's Studies. Ms. Morales wrote her undergraduate thesis on
women's political participation during the gay and lesbian rights movement
in Mexico City.
