Author: Eli M. Noam, CITI This project focuses on this last bottleneck in the information revolution: the competition for attention span. By examining the history of information production and processing along with specific examples of individuals and organizations coping with the information flow, this study will explore techniques for screening information and extending capacity for information processing. The project, with a fellowship support from the Freedom Forum Media Studies Center, analyzes new forms of information presentation and will discuss the resulting implications for further evolution in communication styles and new media.
