Yechiam Yemini is a Professor of computer science at Columbia
University where he founded and directs the Distributed Computing and Communications (DCC) lab. His research interests
include computer networks, network management, economics of information systems, distributed systems and protocols. He
has authored over 150 publications, hold 5 patents, and has lectured widely in these areas. Technologies created at the
DCC lab have been widely exported to thousands of sites and commercialized by several companies. Yemini is a co-founder of
Comverse Technology Inc, a $3.5 billion leading vendor of multi-media message computers for telecom networks. He is also
a co-founder and Director of System Management Arts, Inc., a leading technology vendor of software that automates root-cause
diagnosis of network problems. Yemini serves as a director of several high-tech companies, advises a major venture fund
on high-tech investments, and serves on the US-Israel Science & Technology Commission.
