Thomas McKnight is a developer of telecommunications and media business with credentials as an engineer, registered financial consultant, and a licensed attorney specializing in entrepreneurial enterprises. From 1982-1986, Mr. McKnight was CEO of Orion Satellite Corporation, a firm he co-founded to compete with Intelsat. He was part of the founding teams at USA TODAY and the start-up PTAT system, a privately owned transatlantic fiber optic submarine cable that he sold to U.S. Sprint. He has staff experience in telecommunications and media policy-making with the White House and the FCC. He has also participated in other entrepreneurial ventures in Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kuwait and Poland.
