Michael Salinger
is Associate Professor at Boston University. He is a leading expert on
the economics of cable television. His research on cable television has
covered such topics as the effects of vertical integration between cable
networks and cable operators, the effects of cable deregulation, and the
prospects for competition between cable and telephone companies. He has
published articles in the Micro-Brookings Papers on Economic Activity,
The Quarterly Journal of Economics, and The Rand Journal.
