Jonathan
Liebenau
is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the London School of
Economics (LSE) and currently a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business
School, Columbia University. In addition he is involved in research
projects at the Columbia Institute of Tele-Information (CITI). Dr.
Liebenau was previously the Director of Industry Studies at the Technical
Change Centre, a government-linked think tank in London, and he headed
research projects within the LSE, Business History Unit and Department of
Economic History on high technology industries. He has conducted research
in the area of telecommunications policy, with emphasis on transfer of
technology, information infrastructure policy, and regulatory reform and
liberalization of the European markets. He has also written on fundamental
concepts of information management, as applied to problems such as
decision support, temporality and transaction costs. His current research
is on concepts of information infrastructure at levels ranging from the
organization to national and international cooperative policies.
