Harumasa Sato
is Professor of Economics at Konan University in Kobe, Japan. He teaches
applied micro-economics, the economics of regulation, and telecommunications
economics. He is a former Fulbright Scholar, and visited MIT's Department
of Economics during 1989-90. As the Institute's Representative in Japan,
Sato is the liaison between the Institute and Japanese universities, companies,
and government, and assists CITI research on Japanese and Pacific Basin
telecommunications. He is currently a Visiting Scholar at CITI, and was
previously in the years 1994-1995, and 1990.
